Can't publish
My account is in good standing (doesn't need payment or anything) but suddenly it will never let me publish. I always get this error:
We apologize for the inconvenience but your last action
triggered an error on the web server.
A message has been sent to our development group and the error
should be resolved shortly.
This has been going on for a couple weeks. HELP

Sue,
The reason for the problem is the Homepage template (index.html) doesn't have any content areas. The CMS expects all templates to have at least one content area. Once you add a content block to the Homepage template you will be able to publish your site again.
If you didn't build the templates you should contact the web developer that set up your website. Please contact us if you need further information.

Hi Rich, yes our homepage is full of php code and fancy stuff, so we load that in by hand. Odd, it never gave us that bug before and DOES give us the error when trying to publish a lower page or just an image?

Sue,
The error is new to you because of a recent system update. We are looking into a way to allow templates without content areas. Until we are able to deploy that fix, adding a content area to that template will resolve the problem. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.

the home page needs to be ".php" page vs a ".html" page.. any thoughts on that?

You can change the file extension in publish settings to .php if you need. If you are running on the Apache web server and your host allows it, you can force an html file to be parsed as PHP. Search Google for 'apache forcetype' for more info or contact your web host for details on how to implement that solution.

Thanks Rich, I found a way around it. I used a template with a content area for the home page index.html and just put a redirect code in it to kick it over to the .php page. Thanks for your help! -Sue
