Strange behavior in content blocks
I can't consistently describe what's happening, but it seems like deleted pages in the CMS are coming back to life automatically and being reborn as content blocks? We've had two employment postings removed from the site (positions were filled), and they seem to have moved to the content block area. I personally removed an old news story, and now it also appears in content blocks. As do two pages that aren't custom-renamed yet (as in, there are content blocks for "Page 438").
None of these content blocks appear to be used on any page (per the clickable link that shows you where they are used). Can I delete them? And more importantly, why do they appear?

Thanks for reporting this. We will look into this and see what we can find out. To clarify, can you tell us the name of the content blocks you have noticed? And can you tell us which page these were on in the first place? Thank you for your help.

Is there an e-mail I can send the list to?

You should be receiving emails from the system when I respond. You can reply to those messages to send information to support via email.

Hi Rich,
These should not be going to me, they should be going to John Sponauer, ***@foundation.uconn.edu . Please remove me from the support system completely.
Thanks,
Dan

Dan,
Sorry about the mix up. I'll remove your email from this support request so you don't receive any more notices after this. I'll also disable your support account.
I think your email address got into this discussion because someone submitted a support request using the support link inside the CMS. If your email address is associated with the profile for the user ucfoundation, that email address will be used in support requests. I suggest you change the email address in the CMS. Your email address can be replaced with the appropriate one by clicking the 'User: UCFOUNDATION' link in the top right corner when logged into the CMS.
Also, if there is more than one person in your organization using the CMS, I suggest get support directly by sending an email to ***@cmspath.com instead of logging into support via the CMS. In addition, when responding to a support request via email, people that are CC'd are added to a discussion. This means you may get included in discussions in the future if you are copied on a support email.

John,
Dan was getting support requests emailed to him so you probably did not get my response. Here is what I said:
Thanks for reporting this. We will look into this and see what we can find out. To clarify, can you tell us the name of the content blocks you have noticed? And can you tell us which page these content areas were on in the first place? Thank you for your help.
Can you answer those questions? Please let me know if you need clarification.

Sure, here you go. Thanks for doing this by e-mail. These are the ones that just appeared. When I go to "view pages using this block," nothing shows.
The first four appear to be job-related pages that were linked to off of:
http://www.foundation.uconn.edu/employment-opportunities.html
The strange Page 438 ones appear to be some strange version of this:
http://www.foundation.uconn.edu/stories-of-giving/2010-06-sackler.html
The Q&A ones were a page that did exist but was deleted. It was linked to from:

Employment - Director of Major Gifts, Athletics 1 view pages using this block

John,
I want to give you an update on this problem: Our developers have been notified and are working on fixing this. They will push a fix with a future release of the CMS. It is safe for you to delete the 'reborn' content blocks. If you have any further questions about the problem, please reply to this discussion. We are happy to help.
Thanks again for reporting this, and thanks for using the CMS!
